Task 3 - part 2

Task 3: south take off again. The launching goes fairly quickly but some pilots hesitate and by the time they want to launch, the wind sometimes comes from the back. In the end everybody managed to launch, who wanted to. Because some pilots decided to take the day off: flying can be very exhausting it appears.

There is a 129 km task and most pilots find their Waterloo somewhere around the fourth turnpoint (most southerly) as you can see from our high tech very advance life tracking system. We see some cumulus nimbus clouds forming around us and we pray that they stay away from the taks.

The first pilot in goal is Gerolf Heinrichs (3:42 hrs), who avoids the welcoming committee by toplanding again. Second to land is Gerd Doenhuber (3:52 hrs) who we can see coming in low on his final glide. He makes goal, but has to land just in a field next to goal, as he just didn’t have enough height to get over the trees. Then Mart Bosman (first Dutch pilot 3:55 hrs) lands. The pilots come in one by one and in the end 15 make goal. Evgeniya is the only woman who makes goal (4:42 hrs) after more than 5 hours of flying. Bernt Weist is the only rigid who makes goal.
